I am an artist researcher based in the West Midlands and have exhibited in the UK and in New York.

My work seeks to blur the boundaries between writing and painting; taking the form of paintings, installations or more recently, paintsculpstallations and textstallations. My work aims to break away from the modernist structure of working on a flat surface, challenging Greenbergian Modernist painting paradigms by thinking outside the canvas frame. 

I am interested in the notion of hybridity; the intertextual and intermaterial connectedness between the boundaries of different types of art practice. Overlapping, interweaving and emerging, both contextually and physically my work explores to what Derrida refers to as the in-between ... representing subjectivities in the margins.
